March - April 2023

Good to see you, dear friends!

After the long winter we had, the long-awaited spring finally came, only....in the calendars we saw it until the middle of April, because the low temperatures were present and were even accompanied by a snow like in stories. (pictures 1,2)

The snowdrifts in Neamt County, as big as in the middle of winter, were rather detached from the horror stories for drivers stuck on the roads, but…with God’s help, we managed to admire the spring flowers until the end of April. (pictures 3 – 5)

Due to the low temperatures, gardening was also postponed. We pulled the garlic out of the weeds and dug up the trees at the root. (pictures 6,7)

Unfortunately, we cannot use the solar at the moment as it needs to be repaired because a strong storm destroyed part of the "roof". (picture 8)

Also because of the low temperatures, we also had emotions with the chickens purchased for the year 2023, because they had to be transported exactly on April 5 when the snow was 1.5 m. Thank God, the chicks are fine and developed normally, we had a loss of only 15 chicks. (picture 9). We also purchased 50 eggs that we put in the incubator, with a special breed of hens to make the eggs. They are small, cute and black. (picture 10)

As far as the farm is concerned, we are happy to announce that we also have 3 goats, a small calf and 13 piglets. (pictures 11-14). Praise God that He takes care, both in terms of breeding our animals and in terms of food for them. Not having enough grain for the animals, we had to buy 6 tons of corn. (picture 15)

Then we started looking for another seller and to our surprise, after visiting the home and the farm, he decided to donate all the quantity we wanted to buy. Such a special family, who blessed us in the smallest detail, they even sent us people to unload the donated bags. We were amazed and overwhelmed with joy! (picture 16)

From the donation category, we also want to thank the Pascal company, the Delaco company, the Romanian church in Italy led by Nicu Vaida, the Smile Association, the Dolha family. Be very blessed, dear ones, and may God reward you! (pictures 17 – 21)

To finish with the categories adjacent to children, we will also mention the fact that the renovation of the club has been completed (pictures 22-24), the wood was cracked and placed (picture 25), anti-slip strips were put on the stairs (picture 26) and the animal shed was whitewashed (picture 27).

As it is every year, the arrival of spring was marked by "Women's - Mother's Day" and together with the children we prepared some cute hyacinths for the teachers at school. (picture 28)

At the same time in March we also celebrated Alexandra who turned 9 years old (poza 29) and Cristina who came of age, turning 18. (picture 30). In April we had two brothers whom we celebrated, Vasilica, 11 years old (picture 31) and Ionela, 14 years old (picture 32). Be blessed, our dear ones!

We celebrated Easter together with some guests, namely Nathanael and Elias from Switzerland, two brothers who were in teaching practice for two weeks at our hostel. The children became friends with them very quickly and the parting was, as always, a difficult one. (pictures 33 – 40)

In addition to the two, we had 3 more guests, 3 brothers who are going to come to the family of our House, but whose documents have not yet been finalized. We invited them for the Easter period to spend time with us and get to know each other, Ramona, Denisa and Andrei. (picture 41)

On the second day of Easter, all the children were invited to dine at a family's house, something that never happened (that all children at the same time go to a family). Of course they were excited and came back telling one after another all kinds of beautiful experiences. (pictures 42,43)

During this period, the children continued to go to the dentist, especially Vasilica and Denisa, following in line "Big Vasile”.(picture 44)

We also faced seasonal colds, but the biggest emotion was given to us by one of father Mihai's nephews, namely Filip, who, while playing with the other children in the yard, cut his arm very badly in the tin fence from the parking lot. He lost a lot of blood, his veins and main artery were severed, the nerve of his hand was also pinched, he had to stay in surgery for 5 hours. We all united in prayer and God continued to give him life. Glory to Him for this decision! At the moment he is going to enter recovery so that he can move his fingers and arm completely and he will have to take a pill for coagulation in the long term or even for the rest of his life. We were glad that God did not allow more than that, although it was a rather serious situation. (pictures 45,46)

We hope that you are also well and healthy. We hug you all with love!
