November - December 2022

We wish you all a new year full of blessings!

We are overdue from last year with information about two months, November and December 2022.

Autumn is over, but not before taking advantage of its wonderful colors and taking some photos, now that we have a passionate photographer among us, Vasile Dodita. (picture 1) He has perfected his hobby more and more and has more and more successful photos. (pictures 2-5)

Household chores began to slow down with the arrival of the cold, most of the activities taking place around the house, in the kitchen and on the farm. Especially with the approach of the holidays, the kitchen has become the center of the house.

Thermal insulation of Casei Ray

The house that the children live in, named Casa Ray, it was built 20 years ago. Improvements have been made every year. An important aspect we have not yet managed to administer/affix is the thermal insulation of the building.

In Dobreni County, the only heat source for the building is the central heating with solid fuel (wood). Without thermal insulation, the heat energy is pretty big, also the need of wood. For only one winter we need almost 30m³ of wood, which cost 11500 RON(2400 EUR). It is a big expense for us, that’s why we would like to reduce all these costs.

Sistem de panouri solare

Five years ago, at Casa Ray, a fire started, which we lost the warehouses for storing goods, clothing, the stable and the warehouses for storing animals feed. A big damage for the house was the lost of the solar panel system, consisting 6 panels.

It’s a big damage, because all these 20 people who need to take a shower almost every day, it’s quite expansive to heat water all the time from the boilers. Another option to have hot water during summer is by using a lot of woods because of the thermal power plant, but the wood is a pricey fuel.

If you would like to help us it will be a huge fulfillment for Casa Ray and a big joy for all of us.
