Ciorhan Vlad was born on the 7th of May 1998 and Cristian was born on the 7th of January 2000 in Piatra Neamt. Their family had a lot of social problems - alcoholism, violence, poverty.

         The family was constituted in 1991 and had over the time 5 children. This family had big problems even from the start with violence and different conflicts so 3 of the children were given away to foster home, one child was placed in a center called Romanita and the oldest daughter stayed at home with the parents.

         The Ciorhan's house had 2 rooms without furniture and very dirty with no electricity.

          On the 12th of August 2003 the mother was killed by the father when he was under the influence of alcohol. 

         Because the mother died and the father was convicted for her murder , the 4 children ( Georgiana Diana, Vlad and Cristian ) were brought to Casa Ray Placement Center.

         The adaptment of these children was been extremely difficult. The children cried for 2 days and 2 night in a row. They would start crying all of the sudden and they used to run away at the same time in completely different directions. All 4 of them used to swing themselves for hours in a row.

          The children kept in touch with their father through telephone and letters. At the beginning of 2009 the father was released from the jail for well behavior.

           Now Georgiana is married and has 2 daughters and lives in Irland. Diana lives in Piatra Neamt and she has started her own family, she has one son. At Casa Ray there are Vlad and Cristian. All 4 of them keep in touch , they visit each other and they also keep in touch with their younger brother Ionut.

          The 2 boys are very handy and powerful but they have behavior issues, they are very nervous, rebellious.With kindness and counseling we are hoping that they will also make a good living. Cristian is know for having a very good memory that's why we call him the "detective" of the orphanage . If you are looking for a thing and you don't know where it is if you ask him , you have a 99 percent chance that he will know.
