Events in September and October 2020

It's been 2 months since I came to you with news about Ray House, respectively news about the events of September and October.

During this time, God helped us and we managed to put everything we needed for the winter: eggplant, peppers, red peppers, beans, mushrooms, pickles of all kinds, vegetables, tomato juice, jams, compotes, zacusca, fish paste etc. Tireless hands worked hard and filled the pantry and the refrigerated boxes, and mother Tatiana was the one who was not absent from all this work! We kiss your hands, Mother! (pictures 1-8)

Household and farm activities also continued, being of course combined with play, anniversaries and moments of relaxation. (pictures 9-20) The celebrations of this period were Ionel(17 years old), Laura (10 years old), Gabriela (13 years old) and Madalin (17 years old). May God bless everyone and help them make the best decisions for their lives! (pictures 21-24)

We thank our friends from Romania, who have blessed us again this year with agricultural products, VERY important and necessary for us! Your help makes a big difference in the smooth running of Casa Ray's work. God bless you thousandfold! (pictures 25,26) Also, thanks to those who sent clothes and crayons to Ray House during this period. (pictures 27,28) We also thank the representatives of 6AM Look for the beautiful and useful donation they made to the children from Casa Ray - consisting of the gorgeous dresses that you can see in photo 29. Be blessed and rewarded all!

With the arrival of autumn, the children had to start school. We welcomed with emotion and uncertainty this beginning of the school year due to the situation around the world and also due to the situation in Romania regarding the spread of the SARS-cov-2 virus. Until then, the children stayed at home or in the vicinity of the house, had contact with few people outside and this ugly virus did not affect either the children or the staff of the home, but with the start of school, we felt that a door had opened that it was impossible for us to keep closed.

We bought masks for each child, we also received some donations in this direction, we bought supplies and everything else needed (clothes and shoes) and we sent the children to school. When they returned home, they were disinfected, their clothes were changed and left to ventilate, they tried to wear a mask (but it was quite difficult after a day at school with a mask to keep it at home), as an additional measure we separated the tables where they sat to do homework, placing them one by one at the table, we prayed and hoped for all the best.          Unfortunately, at the end of October we had the first covid infections19. In turn, gradually, 7 children, 3 volunteers, 2 grandchildren and the parents of the home, mother Tatiana and father Mihai were found positive.(pictures 37-40) God blessed us all with mild forms of the disease that could be treated at home, except for mother Tatiana, who began to have difficulty breathing, her oxygen saturation dropped to 85, so she was hospitalized. As her condition worsened further, her saturation dropped to 63, she was transferred to the hospital's intensive care unit, where she was connected to 2 oxygen sources and given the maximum amount of medication.

An army of people joined us, the family and the children at Ray House, and they supported us in prayer. A world united, friends from America, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and Romania and sent us thoughts of well-being and support. I felt this force of unity and prayer, because mother's condition had slowly begun to improve. Saturation began to increase to 80, then 85, then 91 and on the unfortunate day, with oxygen masks, it had even reached saturation of 99. She had had a few days when she could not sit on the edge of the bed, because all her extremities were bruised, which indicated clots and blocked blood circulation, but also in this direction he had started to see improvement, for 2 days she had been sitting on the edge of the bed without her extremities getting bruised.

We hoped to see each other well at home and celebrate her birthday in December. We were all waiting impatiently and with all our souls, good news about her minute by minute, but a lightning struck us all when we heard that there was a fire in the hospital, on the intensive care unit on the 2nd floor, a place where she had been moved that very day… We hoped until the last moment, we cried out to God and waited for a miracle, but … (photos 41-49)

Mother has finished running, mother is resting now, mother has escaped all torment and pain, mother has overcome, MOTHER IS CROWNED IN GLORY!
