The middle of spring, month of April, a month full of beautiful events.

          At the beginning of the month we were pleasantly suprised by a group of youth and children from the state orfanage from Piatra Neamt - "Elena Doamna" that came to vist us. The children had a great time together eating something sweet and playing in the yard. It was easy to acommodate to the others, as part of them already knew eatchother from previous events.           After this visit, another one followed. A group of three men, from the Ghedeon organisation, came to see the children, bringing the joy to them by giving them juice and fruits and last but not least by blessing them with a prayer for each one. (photo 5)

          Another visit that flled our hearts with joy was the one from the representatives of "Asociatia Ioana si copiii ingeri". Their visit was such a blessing for us, nor as we expected. Clothes, toys, shoes, a TV and last but not least a great amount of food. In this perioud we have to prepare about 80 servings of food per day, because at lunch time we have the workers in charge of rebuilding, so the food we received spared us  a great expence. The amount saved will be able to put some bricks in addition to the new construction. (pictures 6-8)

          And because we believe that the saying  "by giving makes it feel like heaven" , from the goods we received we managed to help a family that went through a fire and also we helped a single mother by giving her a box of diapers and wet wipes and a forerunner for her child. (pictures 9-10)

          An old friend from England, Katy Joy, after she heard that a great part of the childrens shoes burned in the fire, promised us some shoes for them. This promise came true this month and it was the perfect timing, as some of the children needed spring shoes. Step by step, with God's help, we will managed to replace all the belongins we lost in the fire. (pictures 11,12)

          Another donation that brought us a great joy was a pallet of cement. A great help in times of need. (picture 13)

          The work for the new cunstruction submited in a great way. We let the photos to show you the evolution, as the photos show it better than we can explain. (pictures 14 - 19)

          From our turn, following an invitation, we visited the church from Ciohorani, a modest church, but one that laid a hand for us after the fire. We believe that all the donors, that gave with an open heart, will receive a reward at the right time for takeing care of the orphans. (picture 20)

          A dear friend from Swiss, Christian Sartorius, also visited us, left the children a special present, a song, that made the children very happy. He spoke to the children as well, giveing them valuable advices. Together with Christian, we had a meeting with the children from Dobreni, with the celebration that was comeing: Easter. (pictures 21-23)

          The highly expected event exhibition- contest organized by Social Services from Neamt, finaly came. Filled with emotions, we took the exhibits from home and went to town. It was the first time we participated at that kind of events, so we were very nervous. We managed to prepaire the stand and after a few minutes the officials came: the director of Social Services from Neamt, the secretary of Neamt county and a county councillor. They visited all the stands, congratulated all the participants, as all the exhibits were unique. (pictures 24-29)

         After visiting the stands they handed out a diploma and a medal to each stand to thank the participants, and the great surprise we had, was that one of the  three trophes they prepaired, was given to our stand. We can't describe in words the great joy we all felt and the way each child touched the trophy and took photos with it. It was a great experience and a great push for us to participate in other events like this one. (pictures 30-32)

          Madalin, the boy that was the "victim" of some ugly bruises in February, wanted to remind you of him again, so this month he sents you a photo with his broken arm. Half of month he had to watch others playing chess, but he was't able to play. (pictures 33, 34)

          Spring brought some changes in the daily programm, like working in the garden, spring cleaning and desinfection, etc (photos 35, 36).

          We managed to make this month a new shoe closet for the children. They all grew up and so the number of shoes, the old closed being too small. They had to be redistributed. (picture 37)

          At the end of the month, an accounted of the romania comunity from Belgium visited us and brought for the children different goods. He wrote a report that he will present in Belgium  in hope that he will gather some money for us to rebuild the buildings we need. (picture 38)

          In the last part of the month we celebrated Easter. A new hope for us, a hope that just like our Savior, a day will come when we will rise as well. The preparations for the celebration mobilized us all, starting with the little ones, they all got involved, some of them to make cozonaci (Easter cakes), some to paint the eggs, and the little ones relaxed for the olders as well. The children were especialy happy for the small holiday they had.(pictures 39-42)

          In the end, we would like to tell you about the needs we have now: as we told you before, any kinds of construction materials would be very usefull for us. Even if we started the construction there is still a lot until we will finish, so a help with the construction materials would be great. We also need a washing mashine.The one we have is showing signs of breaking down and the ones we had as spare were burned in the fire. We know that God, the coordinator of all the universe, in a way or another will take care of those needs we have as well.

          And last but not least  we are greeting you with all our hearts: Jesus is risen!
