God has created things so perfectly that when you take time to think about it, you can not help be overwhelmed by how wise the plan of God is  .

          The trees burst into a wonderful game of colors , the fields dress the green coat of spring, , the birds sing a joyful song baby -  sheep play around their mothers, the children leave their winter daily routine spending lots of time out. Everything comes back to life! A season that makes you keep fighting full speed ahead, gather forces and start new things, a season that won't let you laze, that screams: LIFE!

          This is how we feel things at Casa Ray. The house, the garden and the yard, have come to life. The children have filled the atmosphere with their laughings like a worm and thick spring rain. (photos 1-3)

          The children handwork are also in connection with the nature's changes.  They have been able to offer their teachers a "martisor" ( a traditional March good luck charm). Now they are getting ready for a contest organized by the Child Protection Department based on Easter motifs, at the end of April. (photos 4-6)

          Even the animals have screamed LIFE in March. Kim, our dog has given birth to 3 little dogs and our goat, Miridusa, has made everything happier with the voices of 2 puffy baby goats. (photos 7,8)

          With God's help we gathered all out forces and we filled our hearts with faith that God will help us with the reconstruction of the buildings destroyed in the fire. We pray and we believe that He will help us take to an end what we have started, even if so far the figures are not very encouraging. Still we took a very important step: we  poured the cement for the base of the construction. (photos 9-11)

          We got power also from our friends from Germany that came: Georg, Ruben and Hoegen from Germany (photos 12,13) and Dan, Lorenzo, Andreas, and them friend also from Germany(photos 14,15). Their simple presence made us feel them close to us, but also their help consisting in clothes, food items, money, construction materials (paint wall), a  trampoline for the children and a circular for cutting wood. These all are very helpful for us being in a recovery period.

          Hans and Iosif also from Germany, sent 4 bicycles after the 3 more we got from our friend Stefan from Cluj. Children are still children and no matter how useful all these things are they are only happy about toys. Still our colaborators covered a wide palette of things not just bicycles.(photos 16-18)

          We also got a visit from the orthodox priest from Dobreni who wanted to tell us how sorry he is about what happened to in January. He was willing to help us with wood for the new construction. It would be a miracle that he will fulfill his promise. (photo 19)

          Diana visited us with her family. She is one of the girls that were raised at Casa ray for 10 years. She spoke with the girls, her husband talked with the boys. We can only hope that our young children will learn from others mistakes and not make them again. (photos 20,21)

          Vacaru children were visited by their father. Now we understand from who Laura got her big, blue eyes. They spent  2 hours together, they talked a lot, but even that special day the father smelled like he was drinking. (photos 22,23)

          We got one more visit: 5 inspectors from Bucuresti, from the Work Ministery, they did a detailed check up of all the document we should have, as well as the buildings and all the children. We got back a positive feed back. We were anounced on the telephone by the chiefs from the Child Protection Department that they were congratuleted on having an organization like ours under their supervision. We are so glad that we can be an example for the centers in out county. (photo 24)

          “The kitten” as we call Cristina, she turned in March, 12 years. She got presents and she was very anxious because she wanted to cut herself her birthday cake. She and the children spent a great time. (photos 25,26)

          The challenge of March: we fought with a virus that affected most of our children. They had vomiting and heartburns. About 10 children were sick, they stayed in and they had diet food for about 2 days. Now they are all well.

          The surprise of the month was a generous enough layer of snow that lasted 3 days, returning the children to activities specific to winter. (photos 27-29)

          We are very thankful to God for our lives and for everything that God brings into our life so we ask you to pray for us to have the wisdom  and power to move on and do what it's best for the children we take care of.
