December 2023 - January 2024

The period December 2023 - January 2024, also called the period of the winter holidays, made our hearts happy this time as well. A lot of work, shopping, cakes, rehearsals, celebrations, gifts, caroling, so that we can enjoy the Born of Jesus this year as well. (pictures 1-5)

Thanks to the vacation that the children had, we were able to have more outings outside the house. On December 1st, the children celebrated Romanian Day at School, and we took them to see the military parade in the city center, then we served a meal at McDonald's and then we went with them to visit their relatives. We also went with them to the ice rink, for a walk and caroling in the park, to meet other young people, on a "tour" with the bobsleigh in the mountains and the older ones on the Cheahlau mountain.           The visit of others from abroad also brought us great joy. Good friends from Italy came loaded with gifts and lots of caress for the children. Then we received a visit from a group from Bacau, another group from Dej and another group from Dobreni itself. Likewise, the visits of our children, who are now away all over the world, brought us nostalgia and joy. We were visited by: Antonio, Costi, Ionut, Doinita with her husband, Radu with her future wife and Andrusca with her family. (pictures 14-19)

As usual, around Christmas, people open their hearts and offer donations to other people. In addition to the groups that visited us and did not come empty-handed, we were also blessed by the company Delaco, Pascalprodcom, the Ekklesia Association, Hans Alt, Heike Kunze, the Oase Organization, AMRO, Liliana Glock, Asclepion Clinic, various people individuals and the Food Bank. We thank them all from the bottom of our hearts... You can't even imagine how much your help matters and how blessed we are that we are not advancing alone in this work. May God bless all the donors! (pictures 20-23)

The celebrations kids in December and January were: Dumitrita, Beni, Loredana, Nicu and Denisa (who had the joy of being visited by 2 of her brothers who are in foster care families). May God protect the steps of each of them and let joy and peace flood their hearts! (pictures 24-27)

Of course, this period also had its share of household activities: cleaning the snow, mowing, manual work, rest, playing, IT instruction, training in Romanian and mathematics, butchering the pig, cleaning the garden, buying and cutting wood, we were restored the shelves in the food warehouses and the fence from the orchard, the point for protection and fire safety etc. was refurbished. (photos 28-45)

We can only thank God for the power of work and for His protection. We couldn't have done it without His help! We also thank you, all those who are with us. We appreciate you a lot! (picture 46)
