Event in August and September 2018

We kindly greet you from Casa Ray, after a long break. We are now returning with new and pleasant information about the period that passed, namely August and September.

At the beginning of August, which was also the last month of the big holiday, we received Tom and Pia's visit, two nice young people from Germany. They spent together with us about 10 days, during which we felt very good, doing things of all sorts. Like any breakup, it was a tough one, but we hope to see each other well on another occasion also.(1-3)

Also in the visits chapter, we mention that the Vacaru family was visited by a few relatives, and the Dodita brothers were to visit their grandmother in their native village, a 89-year-old grandmother, who always thanks God for letting her live, so that she can once again see her grandchildren and she concludes every time with the phrase: "now I can die quietly!” Last but not least, Constantin met for the first time one of his sisters this year, being a very emotional meeting. (4,5,6)

We got rid of the rainy month of July, and took advantage of the pleasant weather of August and went to harvests: animal hay, pasta, tomatoes, plums, peppers, pumpkins etc. We thank the Lord that every year He cares about our harvest. Well, well in the middle of September we started the campaign to put green vegetables for the winter.(7-10)

With the help of God and our friends in Germany, children went on this period in two camps and two trips. One of the camp in Bicajel, and the other one in Voronet, a trip to Brasov, and the other to Salina Praid. The children came home very excited, telling hours about the experiences they had. Thank you that you contribute every time to the accumulation of beautiful memories for our children. God bless you! (11-25)

We also thank our old friend, Hans Alt, for things sent to Casa Ray. They are very useful, and especially the pipe organ brought a lot of joy to the children, as the old one had just broken. God bless you! (26,27)

Thanks also to Delaco, who has not forgotten us and we have received a delicious donation that we also appreciate very much! God bless you! (28)

Last but not least, we want to thank all the people who have been involved in the "Heat for Winter" project at Casa Ray, especially thanks to friends in America. God redeem each one of you, for without God's help, through you, we would not have succeeded in this great project. The old plant has also been changed and also the whole building's thermal circuit, including radiators. We leave the photos to show you the difference. God bless you! (29-33)

Let's not forget about the celebrations of these two months: Vasile, Ionel, Dumitrita, Florin, Gabriela and Laura. With so many cakes ... we are afraid to climb on the scale :) . God bless them with health and much wisdom "to make straight paths with their feet” (34,35)

And let's also forget that school started! On September 10, some at the general school, some in high school, dressed nicely and with a smile on the lips, we started confident to beginn another school year.. Good luck to all schoolchildren! (36)

With pain in the heart, we have to let you know that another child has taken his flight from Ray's Nest. Cristian Ciorhan, who has been in our care since the age of 2 and a half, has finished school and is now looking for a place in the workplace. For starters, he opted to go to Ireland to his sister to try and find work there. We keep in touch with him and we're waiting for his Christmas home. It was a tough and emotional separation, but we know he has all the prerequisites to succeed in life, because he is endowed from God with skill and diligence, and we are with him even though he is now further away from us. (37-40)

We also said “good-bye” from Ana Guguianu, but her leaving is only temporary, we hope to see her more often, on weekends and holidays, she started her higher education in Iasi, a town 150 km away from us. She will attend the Geography faculty, hoping for a career in tourism. We also wish her success in this new stage of life! (41)

September ended with the purchase of a car full of wood. The cold started to settle, so we're ready. (42)

Thank you for your support, the collaboration we have and the time you make for us. We cherish you!
