After the winter holidays, with the hustle and bustle of those days, with rich meals, we felt the need to escape into nature, to breathe fresh air into our lungs, to contemplate the new year that lies ahead,so together, young and old, on the second day of the year we climbed Mount Cozla, where we enjoyed a beautiful time.           The festive atmosphere continued because of the days off, the vacation, the guests who visited us, the children who went to visit other families, because of going to the skating rink and to McDonald's, because of sledding, the Dodita brothers got together and climbed Mount Ceahlau, the Matei brothers visited their mother whom they had not seen for 3 years etc.(pictures 7-18)

          Also from the category of relaxation activities, we can mention the outing that the children made to Margineni, the realization of manual work activities and "working" with snow :) (pictures 19-25)

          Towards the end of February we had to say goodbye to Ionel Misaila, who finished school and now decided to go to work in Italy. He has been with our family since he was only 6 years old, so for 13 years we "grew up" together and supported each other. The parting was emotional, because he leaves behind his sister Cristina, with whom he lived and they also supported each other by looks. We believe that God will take care of Ionel and we ask you to join us in continuing to support him in prayer. (pictures 26-27)

          We thank our dear friend Petru Antonese from the bottom of our hearts for the very nice and useful surprise made for all the children. From small to large, all children received new winter boots. Be fully rewarded with joy and health! (picture 28)

          Every day we realize more and more how fleeting time is. When we see children who have been in our care since they were in kindergarten and now they get to take the driving test, we are amazed. During this period, I experienced this amazement twice. Both Dumitrita and Nicu managed to obtain their driver's license. May God protect them from any negative road events (picture 29).Our little Denisa, she also crossed a threshold, she turned 14, and now she has an identity card (poza 30), and Ciprian, changed the prefix, he turned 20 years old (picture 31).

          As we said…we are very transient. We are so frail and life hangs like a thread that can shorten when you least expect it. This was also the case with our cook, Cucu Tatiana, who unexpectedly left us. She will remain in our memories forever, but unfortunately, we will no longer be able to hug her, we will no longer be able to taste her specialties, she will no longer be with us and hers. (pictures 32,33)

          Unfortunately, we also had health problems with the children during this period. Madalin had severe abdominal pain and had to go to the hospital, but she did not require hospitalization, only treatment (picture 34), Beniamin went to check his ears, because he still has problems in this direction (picture 35), children have monthly psychological counseling and dental treatments (picture 36). Thank you Kinder und Behindertenhilfe Roumanie for all the support in the medical field and beyond!

          Regarding the household, we have advanced things here as well. We cleaned the orchard of branches, cut some old trees from which there was enough firewood,we cut, cracked and placed the wood for the winter of 2023-2024, the solarium was cleaned, the cow stable was cleaned, the club was renovated, a part of Casa Tatiana was furnished with appropriate furniture and other small things. (pictures 37-46) Praise God for strength and resources.

          Last but not least, we want to inform you that Ioan Dodita, for the next 5 months, will be in Italy to study under the Erasmus program. Surely this experience will suit him very well. At least until now, the landscapes we can admire are good for us too! :) (picture 47)
