Event in March and April 2020
In March, until the school classes were suspended and the quarantine itself began, we had some activities specific to spring, namely: gardening, painting trees, cleaning orchards and landscaping by Florin Dodita :) (pictures 1-7)
Also at that time we received a donation of clothes and shoes from our friends in Germany, goods that brought great joy to the children and great joy and relief for us as well. (pictures 8-11)
The law in Romania, regarding placement centers, says that center employees must be divided into two groups (or more) and in turn, each shift, to live at the center for 14 days. This is what we had to do with our employees, who were understanding this time as well and complied with the requirements. Anyway, our heroes are mother Tatiana and father Mihai, who, for years, without a break, day and night, minute by minute during this period (without exception - without exits or other short breaks for supply or other needs), have been at Casa Ray with the 20 children we take care of, (which is not easy, by the way. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts in this way for their sacrifice!
After the laws were tightened and Ray House went into isolation, children's activities were reduced to small educational and recreational activities at home and in the yard: play, homework, reading, creation, making new friends, evening fellowship, household activities, plumbers "play", anniversaries etc. (pictures 12-30)
Because the need demanded it, we turned again to the Delaco company (through our friend Hans Alt) to offer us a cheese donation. We thank the Lord that they answered in the affirmative and came to our aid. (picture 31)
Also, because the rules require it, I contacted a company that disinfected Casa Ray. (pictures 32,33)
We would also like to congratulate our student Ana, who was involved in volunteer activities in Iasi, distributing food to the elderly. We welcome such actions! (picture 34)
As Easter approached, the trees exploded into hundreds of thousands of popcorn and activity at Ray House focused exclusively on this holiday. From small to large, everyone was involved in all matters, but especially in the preparation of dishes specific to this holiday. (pictures 35 – 47)
Now that the quarantine period is coming to an end in Romania as well, we thank God from the bottom of our hearts that we did not have any unpleasant events, we thank Him that He protected the Ray House in its entirety and we pray and hope that you, our collaborators, are well and healthy! May the Lord continue to protect ALL of us.
We hug you dearly!
Love, Casa Ray team
