Event in March 2016

          God has created things so perfectly that when you take time to think about it, you can not help be overwhelmed by how wise the plan of God is  .

          The trees burst into a wonderful game of colors , the fields dress the green coat of spring, , the birds sing a joyful song baby -  sheep play around their mothers, the children leave their winter daily routine spending lots of time out. Everything comes back to life! A season that makes you keep fighting full speed ahead, gather forces and start new things, a season that won't let you laze, that screams: LIFE!

          This is how we feel things at Casa Ray. The house, the garden and the yard, have come to life. The children have filled the atmosphere with their laughings like a worm and thick spring rain. (photos 1-3)

Event in February 2016

             We could not finish the cleaning after the fire by the end of January and we continued all February: 8 big trucks full of dirt and ashes. But let's forget about the  past and look into the future!!(1-5)

             We donated all the iron left after the cleaning to a poor family in Targu Neamt who also had their  house on  fire two months ago and they had to repair the roof.(6)

             We also used as fuel the wood that was left unburned.(7,8)

             After we got rid of the dirt we tore down the walls that were still standing. Now everything is cleared and ready for the new construction.(9-13)

Event in January 2016

          It's not the way we imagined we will begin the informing for the first month of the year, January... but as life is always filled with unexpected events, so it happened also in our case.

          But the strong blaze we've been through hasn't prevented us from praising God which, although He allowed this trial, gave us many blessings ,has taught us many lessons and reinforced our faith that we are not alone, but there are many which love us and ready to put their sholder in building the future for the children from Casa Ray.

          Pictures from the fire I'm sure you've seen enough and are not nice to watch, so it's better to just praise the Lord together that none of our children were phisicaly harmed (pictured from Alexandra to Vlad)

Events in December 2015

 
          We owe you information from December and we don't want the events from this month to go by unmentioned.
 
          The month began with small repairs of the walls, done by Alexandru, our oldest boy which is 19 years old. He wanted to paint the walls of his room and when he saw how nice it came out he continued with other rooms. And we believe he did a great job, he is good at it! (pictures 1 and 2)
 
          Our blue minibus that we've used for so long, got old and its "wrinkles" begun to be seen everywhere. The exhaust is broken and sounds like a tractor, the back door no longer closes, but as long as God allows it we will use it with joy. (pictures 3 and 4)
 
          Christmas is near and the lights, the decorations for this holiday, the Christmas tree decorated make this holiday  to be felt more intensely. Alexandru and Cristian were the ones that decorated every corner of Casa Ray...and...they were very careful with every corner. (pictures 5 and 6)
 

Events in November 2015

 
          Winter is fast approaching, so it's not time to sit!
 
          Like everywhere, auch in Casa Ray winter preparations were made: supply of potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, beans (some donated by people with big heart, some purchased elsewhere), the flowers that cheered the terraces were collected, leaves which have falled were swept, everything is ready for the snow that we hope to have in the following month. (1,2)
 
          To avoid snowy streets, we made a last trip in November with children from Casa Ray. We were invited to a church from Targu Neamt, not so far from home. The joy of those who have received us has been great, because, although we are quite close, we rarely visited them. (3,4)
 
          If we opened a business in Casa Ray in which to sell natural hair, I think we would go pretty well :) In November, we amused by the pictures "before / after" that we made during trimming. It was a fun time for children and hope will be for you, too. (5,6,7)
 

Event in October 2015

            October…rich fruit month!

          So began October: a celebration of the fruits in Cozmesti place, attended by children from Casa Ray. They thanked God through songs, they wondered of the rich natural fruits and served a meal together with young people from the church, with whom they tied new friendships. Every time they have the opportunity to visit other communities, children are joyful. Admittedly, there are also welcomed! (1,2)

           Why would we call October "the rich fruit month”? Because donations that we received during this period, showing that God really blessed  Romania with many riches, despite that drought has said the word. We received from Suceava county, and from Neamt County, potatoes, cereals, flour, vegetables, certain foods (sugar, oil), that are very useful for everyday life. If there were no such donations and goods, we would hardly manage to cope with expenses. We thank those who, every fall, remember their blessings and bestow on these children.(3,4,5,6)

Events in September 2015

          We knew that the first month of autumn, September will be busy, but still ... we never expected to be quite so full! The beauty is that it was filled only with pleasant events, except the end of the holidays and starting school, but with time, certainly children will realize that to be educated is a good thing!

          So, it was a month full of event more or less beautiful! HIS glory!

 

          So ... first adventure in September, has been participating for six days at a camp in Mures county, Salard place. Why do I tell an adventure? Because our children have had some unique experiences, first experienced in life by some and full of adrenaline. In total we were 40 people in this camp. Children at Casa Ray along with other children from different families and six supervisors.

Events in August 2015

 
          August: last summer month and  last month of holiday. We did not let it go anyway!
 
          "Knowing" that summer is almost over, a mischievous kitten has  stuck her claws in the pool  that cheered up the children this season. Now ... farewell pool ... we'll see how we'll solve the problem next summer.
 
          At the beginning of this month, the youth over 15 years went to a camp in Voroneţ for six days. They had a wonderful time there, felt very well together with other 70 young people.When they returned home, for a few days they told how how good they felt and we saw even some change between some of them.They have more patience with the small children, speak and behave and also play nicer. We are very pleased with the results of this camp.
 
          After they returned home, the friendships made in the camp did not break. During the rest of the holiday they visited each other quite often, talking and playing together.
 

Events in July 2015

 
         July was a month with many events that brought joy to the children.
 
         First joy was on July 4th, a big cake from which all those present ate. "Guilty" for this kindness were Andreea (17 years) and Catalina (one of the brides of Gavril family).
 
         On July 5th, we were visited by a Christian psychologist, who talked to all children. Even the toughest of them were very excited about the discussions in particular. This could only make us happy.
 
         Not long after this event, the children were surprised by another big surprise. For a long time they wanted their bicycles, and now is the time to make this dream come true. We received a German transport and bicycles for children, for all ages, were also there.

Events of June

            Month of June….a long-waited month.

            On June 1st it was the Child’s Day.This day was celebrated together with other 130 children in Izvoare village. All participants has a great time.They sang, listened to a story, played football and other games, had a few competitions, they had lunch together and received gifts. This day will surely remain in their memory.           

            Cristian graduated from elementary school, now entering a new phase. He will be among "the big ones". He managed to enter high school at auto-mechanic profile.

            Petrica and Alexandru graduated high school. Now Alexander will enroll in post secondary school and Pete had to say goodbye to us, as he opted to go to England to a brother of his, Roger, who also grew at Casa Ray.
